Hawthorne Hornets (Hawthorne, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Eastside Rams (Gainesville, FL), 20-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they host Bradford for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 27. Hawthorne will battle a Tornadoes squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Yulee (Yulee, FL). The Tornadoes record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Eastside falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Gainesville (Gainesville, FL) to battle the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 31. The Hurricanes enter the challenge with a record of 3-5.
