Page Pirates (Greensboro, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Grimsley Whirlies (Greensboro, NC), 13-3 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Glenn for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 27. Page will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 14-2 league loss to East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-7.

With the loss, Grimsley falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Whirlies host Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC) to face the Nighthawks in a Metro 4A challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Nighthawks enter the challenge with a record of 9-4. Northern Guilford won 7-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC)
