Southridge Suns (Kennewick, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hanford Falcons (Richland, WA), 9-5 in a league challenge.

The Suns now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Richland for a 3A/4A Mid-Columbia challenge on Tuesday, March 28. Southridge will battle a Bombers squad coming off a 18-8 league win over Hermiston (Hermiston, WA). The Bombers record now stands at 5-0.

With the loss, Hanford falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Falcons host Kennewick (Kennewick, WA) to battle the Lions in a 3A/4A Mid-Columbia challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 3-1. Kennewick lost 15-13 in their recent league challenge against Chiawana (Pasco, WA)
