Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hopewell for a Queen City 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, March 28. Hough will battle a Titans squad coming off a 14-8 non-league loss to Berry (Charlotte, NC). The Titans record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Mallard Creek falls to 7-1 on the campaign. The Mavericks host Chambers (Charlotte, NC) to clash with the Cougars in a Queen City 3A/4A game on Tuesday, March 28. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 1-6. Chambers lost 23-0 in their recent non-league game against Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC)
