Mississippi High School Softball - Lafayette falls to South Pontotoc

In Friday's non-league outing, the visiting South Pontotoc Cougars softball team scored a nice 12-2 win over the Lafayette Commodores.

Coming up next, the Cougars battle the Ripley Tigers (Ripley, MS) in a 4A Region 2 outing, on Tuesday, March 28. South Pontotoc will attempt to upgrade on its 6-0 season record. The Tigers enter the outing with a 7-8 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to Booneville (Booneville, MS).

The Commodores (8-8) will now prepare for their outing against Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS). The Warriors enter the non-league outing with a 5-7 record. In their last outing, Pontotoc ran past Ripley (Ripley, MS), 10-7, in a league outing.
