West Rowan Falcons (Mt. Ulla, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC), 19-3 in a league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central Cabarrus for a South Piedmont 3A challenge on Tuesday, March 28. West Rowan will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to East Rowan (Salisbury, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, Lake Norman Charter falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Knights travel to South Rowan (China Grove, NC) to battle the Raiders in a South Piedmont 3A challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 7-3. South Rowan won 20-0 in their recent league challenge against Concord (Concord, NC)
