The Lexington Wildcats softball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Lugoff-Elgin Demons to 4 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Lexington moves its record to 9-0 on the year. The Wildcats host Dutch Fork (Irmo, SC) to clash with the Silver Foxes in a AAAAA Region 4 game on Tuesday, March 28. The Silver Foxes come into the game with a record of 3-3. Dutch Fork won 8-7 in their recent non-league game against South Aiken (Aiken, SC)

In their next game, the Demons clash with the Westwood Redhawks (Blythewood, SC) in a AAAA Region 5 game, on Tuesday, March 28. Lugoff-Elgin will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Redhawks come into the game with a 7-6 record after their 7-4 league win over A.C. Flora (Columbia, SC).
