Wabaunsee Chargers (Alma, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Onaga Buffaloes (Onaga, KS), 11-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Chargers now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mission Valley for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 4.

With the loss, Onaga falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Buffaloes travel to Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] (Wathena, KS) to battle the Cyclones in a Big Seven challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Cyclones enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] won 19-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Atchison County (Effingham, KS)
