The La Jolla Vikings baseball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders to 1 in the Vikings non-league win on Monday.

The Vikings now hold a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Otay Ranch for a non-league test on Wednesday, March 26. La Jolla will play a Mustangs team coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Mission Bay (San Diego, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-0.

With the defeat, Mater Dei Catholic drops to 1-3 on the year. The Crusaders host Hilltop (Chula Vista, CA) to play the Lancers in a test on Wednesday, April 9. The Lancers go into the test with a record of 2-5.
