The Zachary Broncos triumphed over the visiting Central Private Redhawks softball squad by a count of 13-5 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Broncos meet the Central Wildcats (Baton Rouge, LA) in a 5A District 4 challenge, on Thursday, March 27. Zachary will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 11-6 record after their 27-3 league win over Liberty Magnet (Baton Rouge, LA).

The Redhawks (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Thomas Aquinas (Hammond, LA). The Falcons enter the non-league challenge with a 6-11 record. In their last challenge, St. Thomas Aquinas was routed by Northlake Christian (Covington, LA), 20-2, in a league challenge.
