The Mater Dei Monarchs overwhelmed the visiting Fountain Valley Barons softball squad by a count of 10-0 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Monarchs meet the JSerra Catholic Lions (San Juan Capistrano, CA) in a Trinity challenge, on Tuesday, March 25. Mater Dei will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Lions go into the challenge with a 8-6 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to El Modena (Orange, CA).
The Barons (6-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Calvary Chapel (Santa Ana, CA). The Eagles go into the non-league challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Calvary Chapel toppled Westminster (Westminster, CA), 13-4, in a non-league challenge.
