In Monday's non-league test, the Lincoln County Patriots (Stanford, KY) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Somerset Christian Cougars (Somerset, KY), by a tally of 16-1.
Next, the Patriots meet the Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, March 25. Lincoln County will attempt to advance on its 3-3 season record. The Lakers go into the test with a 3-2 record after their 11-10 non-league loss to Casey County (Liberty, KY).
The Cougars (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Cumberland County (Burkesville, KY). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Cumberland County was routed by Franklin-Simpson (Franklin, KY), 13-6, in a non-league test.
