California High School Softball - Rio Americano succumbs to Ponderosa

March 24, 2025: Sacramento, CA 95864

In Monday's league test, the Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Rio Americano Raiders (Sacramento, CA), by a tally of 18-0.

Next, the Bruins clash with the Vista del Lago Eagles (Folsom, CA) in a Capital Valley Conference test, on Wednesday, March 26. Ponderosa will attempt to advance on its 5-6 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 3-6 record after their 14-4 non-league win over Laguna Creek (Elk Grove, CA).

The Raiders (4-10) will now prepare for their test against Inderkum (Sacramento, CA). The Tigers go into the Capital Valley Conference test with a 6-7 record. In their last test, Inderkum was routed by Woodcreek (Roseville, CA), 7-3, in a league test.
