In Tuesday's league game, the host Franklin Admirals baseball team scored a close 8-2 win over the Independence Eagles.

The Admirals (10-3) will now prepare for their game against Summit (Spring Hill, TN). The Spartans go into the 4A District 11 game with a 4-7 record. In their last game, Summit was overwhelmed by Centennial (Franklin, TN), 14-4, in a league match.

The Eagles now have a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Spring Hill for a non-league match on Wednesday, March 25. Independence will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Summertown (Summertown, TN). The Raiders record now stands at 3-7.
