The Poth Pirates baseball team scored 8 runs and held the host Stockdale Brahmas to 2 in the Pirates league win on Tuesday.

The Pirates now own a 13-6 record. They take the field next when they host Luling for a 3A Region IV District 26 bout on Friday, March 27. Poth will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 10-6 league loss to Nixon-Smiley (Nixon, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 4-15.

The Brahmas (6-13) will now prepare for their bout against Goliad (Goliad, TX). The Tigers enter the 3A Region IV District 26 bout with a 12-6 record. In their last bout, Goliad edged Karnes City (Karnes City, TX), 18-2, in a league bout.
