Alabama High School Softball - Weaver bounces Saks

The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Weaver Bearcats (Weaver, AL) and the host Saks Wildcats (Anniston, AL), observed Weaver's softball team prevail over Saks by a tally of 16-1.

The Bearcats (7-7) will now prepare for their bout against Cleburne County (Heflin, AL). The Tigers go into the non-league contest with a 5-11 record. In their last contest, Cleburne County was routed by White Plains (Anniston, AL), 10-1, in a non-league contest.

The Wildcats now hold a 2-10 record. They play next when they travel to Wellborn for a 3A Area 9 contest on Thursday, March 26. Saks will face a Panthers squad coming off a 11-2 league loss to Randolph County (Wedowee, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 2-21.
