The Asheboro Blue Comets baseball team (Asheboro, NC), 6-3 in Friday's league outing with the visiting Oak Grove Grizzlies (Winston-Salem, NC)
The Grizzlies now hold a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Davidson for a Mid-Piedmont 3A outing on Tuesday, March 29. Oak Grove will confront a Black Knights team coming off a 8-2 league win over Montgomery Central (Troy, NC). The Black Knights record now stands at 2-6.
Next, the Blue Comets confront the Central Davidson Spartans (Lexington, NC) in a Mid-Piedmont 3A outing, on Tuesday, March 29. Asheboro will attempt to advance on its 4-5 season record. The Spartans go into the outing with a 4-5 record after their 11-7 league loss to Ledford (Thomasville, NC).
