North Carolina High School Baseball - Shelby sneaks past East Gaston

Spectators at Friday's league battle between the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) and the visiting East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC), saw Shelby's baseball squad edge East Gaston by a count of 4-3.

Coming up next, the Golden Lions play the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, March 26. Shelby will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the battle with a 7-2 record after their 11-10 league win over Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC).

The Warriors now possess a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Highland Tech for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A battle on Tuesday, March 29. East Gaston will play a Rams squad coming off a 13-3 non-league win over Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC). The Rams record now stands at 4-5.
