North Carolina High School Baseball - Swain County gets by Hiwassee Dam

In Friday's league challenge, the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) baseball squad the host Hiwassee Dam Eagles (Murphy, NC), by a final score of 4-1.

With the win, Swain County improves its record to 4-3 on the year. The Maroon Devils travel to Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC) to clash with the Black Knights in a Smoky Mountain 1A game on Tuesday, March 29. The Black Knights go into the game with a record of 1-4. Robbinsville lost 12-8 in their recent league game against Murphy (Murphy, NC)

The Eagles (1-5) will now prepare for their game against Copper Basin (Copperhill, TN). The Cougars go into the non-league game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Copper Basin tipped Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences (Chattanooga, TN), 24-9, in a non-league game.
