North Carolina High School Baseball - Murphy holds off Robbinsville

Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Robbinsville Black Knights (Robbinsville, NC), 12-8 in a league test.

With the win, Murphy upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Cherokee (Cherokee, NC) to battle the Braves in a Smoky Mountain 1A test on Tuesday, March 29. The Braves come into the test with a record of 3-3. Cherokee won 10-4 in their recent league test against Andrews (Andrews, NC)

With the defeat, Robbinsville falls to 1-4 on the season. The Black knights host Swain County (Bryson City, NC) to battle the Maroon Devils in a Smoky Mountain 1A test on Tuesday, March 29. The Maroon Devils come into the test with a record of 4-3. Swain County won 4-1 in their recent league test against Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC)
