In Friday's league battle, the host Chapin Eagles soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the White Knoll Timberwolves.
The Eagles (13-1) will now prepare for their battle against River Bluff (Lexington, SC). The Gators come into the AAAAA Region 5 battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, River Bluff was nudged by Providence Day (Charlotte, NC), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
