The Albany Cougars softball team scored 27 runs and limited the visiting Pinole Valley Spartans to 14 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Albany moves its record to 5-2 on the year. The Cougars host San Ramon Valley (Danville, CA) to clash with the Wolves in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 29. The Wolves come into the game with a record of 2-3. San Ramon Valley lost 8-3 in their recent league game against Monte Vista (Danville, CA)
In their next game, the Spartans clash with the Carondelet Cougars (Concord, CA) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, March 30. Pinole Valley will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record. The Cougars come into the game with a 4-4 record after their 11-4 non-league win over Las Lomas (Walnut Creek, CA).
