California High School Softball - Big Bear holds off Academy for Academic Excellence

March 25, 2022: Apple Valley, CA 92307

Big Bear Bears (Big Bear City, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Academy for Academic Excellence Knights (Apple Valley, CA), 9-7 in a league challenge.

The Bears now own a 7-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Silver Valley for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 4. Big Bear will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 16-0 non-league loss to Granite Hills (Apple Valley, CA). The Trojans record now stands at 0-6.

With the loss, Academy for Academic Excellence falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy (Victorville, CA) to battle the in a Cross Valley challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The enter the challenge with a record of 3-4. Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy won 7-3 in their recent league challenge against Riverside Prep (Oro Grande, CA)
