Andrews Mustangs (Andrews, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Fort Stockton Panthers (Fort Stockton, TX), 14-9 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they host Monahans for a 4A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 29.

With the loss, Fort Stockton falls to 8-9 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Pecos (Pecos, TX) to face the Eagles in a 4A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 5-7. Pecos lost 9-2 in their recent league challenge against Greenwood (Midland, TX)
