California High School Softball - Arroyo bounces San Leandro

Arroyo Dons (San Lorenzo, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting San Leandro Pirates (San Leandro, CA), 8-2 in a league challenge.

The Dons now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Heritage for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 30. Arroyo will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Sutter (Sutter, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, San Leandro falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA) to battle the Dragons in a West Alameda County - Foothill challenge on Monday, March 28. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 6-4. Bishop O'Dowd lost 13-2 in their recent league challenge against Berkeley (Berkeley, CA)
