Atkins Camels (Winston-Salem, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting High Point Central Bison (High Point, NC), 18-16 in a league challenge.

The Camels now own a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Reagan for a Central Piedmont 4A challenge on Wednesday, March 30.

With the loss, High Point Central falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Bison host Dudley (Greensboro, NC) to face the Panthers in a Mid-State 3A challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 2-4.
