Beddingfield Bruins (Wilson, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting North Johnston Panthers (Kenly, NC), 7-6 in a league challenge.

The Bruins now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eastern Wayne for a Neuse Six 2A challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Beddingfield will face a Warriors squad coming off a 19-1 league loss to Spring Creek (Seven Springs, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 2-6.

With the loss, North Johnston falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Goldsboro (Goldsboro, NC) to face the Cougars in a Neuse Six 2A challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 0-6. Goldsboro 0-0 in their recent league challenge against Princeton (Princeton, NC)
