New Mexico High School Softball - Valencia nudges Bloomfield

Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bloomfield Bobcats (Bloomfield, NM), 11-10 in a non-league challenge.

The Jaguars now own a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Miyamura for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 26. Valencia will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 11-3 league win over Taos (Taos, NM). The Patriots record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Bloomfield falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM) to battle the Elks/Elkettes in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 28. The Elks/Elkettes enter the challenge with a record of 5-8. Pojoaque Valley won 19-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Socorro (Socorro, NM)
