Breckenridge Buckaroos (Breckenridge, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Jacksboro Tigers (Jacksboro, TX), 9-7 in a league challenge.

The Buckaroos now own a 12-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bowie for a 3A Region I District 7 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Breckenridge will battle a Jackrabbits squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Holliday (Holliday, TX). The Jackrabbits record now stands at 5-10.

With the loss, Jacksboro falls to 14-8 on the campaign. The Tigers host Henrietta (Henrietta, TX) to battle the Bearcats in a 3A Region I District 7 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The Bearcats enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. Henrietta lost 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Holliday (Holliday, TX)
