Spectators at Friday's league match between the Mabank Panthers (Mabank, TX) and the host Brownsboro Bears (Brownsboro, TX), witnessed Mabank's softball squad tip Brownsboro by a count of 7-4.

The Panthers now sport a 12-6 record. They play next when they travel to Wills Point for a 4A Region II District 14 match on Tuesday, March 29. Mabank will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Canton (Canton, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 6-11.

With the loss, Brownsboro moves to 12-6 on the season. The Bears host Van (Van, TX) to meet the Vandals in a 4A Region II District 14 match on Tuesday, March 29. The Vandals go into the match with a record of 7-10. Van won 11-3 in their recent league match against Athens (Athens, TX)
