Calallen Wildcats (Corpus Christi, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Robstown Cottonpickers (Robstown, TX), 17-1 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 15-6 record. They take the field next when they host Alice for a 4A Region IV District 31 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Calallen will battle a Coyotes squad coming off a 11-3 league win over King (Kingsville, TX). The Coyotes record now stands at 19-4.

With the loss, Robstown falls to 11-8 on the campaign. The Cottonpickers travel to King (Kingsville, TX) to battle the Brahmas in a 4A Region IV District 31 challenge on Friday, April 1. The Brahmas enter the challenge with a record of 1-8.
