New Caney Eagles (New Caney, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Caney Creek Panthers (Conroe, TX), 11-1 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 18-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dayton for a 5A Region III District 20 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. New Caney will face a Broncos squad coming off a 13-3 league loss to Kingwood Park (Kingwood, TX). The Broncos record now stands at 9-6.

With the loss, Caney Creek falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Panthers host Lake Creek (Montgomery, TX) to face the Lions in a 5A Region III District 20 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 21-0. Lake Creek won 17-0 in their recent league challenge against Cleveland (Cleveland, TX)
