Emery Spartans (Castle Dale, UT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Canyon View Falcons (Cedar City, UT), 7-3 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they host Richfield for a 3A Region 12 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Emery will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 21-1 league loss to Carbon (Price, UT). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Canyon View falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Grand County (Moab, UT) to battle the Red Devils in a 3A Region 12 challenge on Saturday, March 26. The Red Devils enter the challenge with a record of 2-9. Grand County lost 15-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Emery (Castle Dale, UT)
