In Friday's league contest, the Sanger Indians (Sanger, TX) softball team held off the visiting Celina Bobcats (Celina, TX), by a margin of 3-2.
With the triumph, Sanger moves its record to 10-9 on the year. The Indians host Gainesville (Gainesville, TX) to play the Leopards in a 4A Region II District 9 contest on Monday, March 28. The Leopards come into the contest with a record of 2-6. Gainesville lost 28-2 in their recent league contest against Melissa (Melissa, TX)
In their next game, the Bobcats play the Van Alstyne Panthers (Van Alstyne, TX) in a 4A Region II District 9 contest, on Tuesday, March 29. Celina will attempt to move on its 7-4 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 13-5 record after their 10-0 league loss to Melissa (Melissa, TX).
