The Lamar Texans softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Chavez Lobos to 1 in the Texans league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Lamar moves its record to 10-5 on the year. The Texans travel to Crosby (Crosby, TX) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 29. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 19-3. Crosby won 18-0 in their recent league game against Port Arthur Memorial (Port Arthur, TX)

In their next game, the Lobos clash with the Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 18 game, on Tuesday, March 29. Chavez will attempt to move on its 1-5 season record.
