Groveton Indians (Groveton, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Wells Pirates (Wells, TX), 9-0 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 16-8 record. They take the field next when they host Kennard for a 1A Region III District 21 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Groveton will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Groveton (Groveton, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Wells falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Alto (Alto, TX) to battle the Yellowjackets in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 1.
