Texas High School Softball - West Rusk bounces Jefferson

West Rusk Raiders (New London, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Jefferson Bulldogs (Jefferson, TX), 15-5 in a league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 20-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harleton for a 3A Region II District 16 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. West Rusk will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 11-2 league win over Waskom (Waskom, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-10.

With the loss, Jefferson falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Arp (Arp, TX) to battle the Tigers in a 3A Region II District 16 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 3-14. Arp lost 12-9 in their recent league challenge against Tatum (Tatum, TX)
