Sinton Pirates (Sinton, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Miller Buccaneers (Corpus Christi, TX), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now sport a 13-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rockport-Fulton for a 4A Region IV District 26 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Sinton will face a Pirates squad coming off a 5-2 league win over Ingleside (Ingleside, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 19-5.

With the loss, Miller falls to 15-9 on the campaign. The Buccaneers host Calhoun (Port Lavaca, TX) to face the Sandcrabs in a 4A Region IV District 26 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The Sandcrabs enter the challenge with a record of 3-12. Calhoun lost 5-4 in their recent league challenge against Sinton (Sinton, TX)
