The crowd at Saturday's league match between the Virginia City Muckers (Virginia City, NV) and the visiting Wells Leopards (Wells, NV), saw Virginia City's softball squad nip Wells by a count of 13-12.

The Muckers now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sparks for a non-league match on Monday, March 27. Virginia City will face a Railroaders squad coming off a 20-8 non-league loss to Spring Creek (Spring Creek, NV). The Railroaders record now stands at 2-7.

With the loss, Wells falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Leopards host Carlin (Carlin, NV) to face the Railroaders in a 1A Northern match on Tuesday, March 28. The Railroaders enter the match with a record of 1-1. Carlin won 15-8 in their recent league match against Pyramid Lake (Nixon, NV)
