Ohio High School Baseball - Mathews loses to St. John

The St. John Fighting Herald crushed the visiting Mathews Mustangs baseball team by a count of 12-2 in Monday's league bout.

The Fighting Herald now possess a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Conneaut for a non-league bout on Wednesday, March 27. St. John will face a Spartans team coming off a 13-1 non-league loss to Madonna (Weirton, WV). The Spartans record now stands at 0-2.

Next, the Mustangs face the Maplewood Rockets (Cortland, OH) in a Northeastern Athletic- Stripes bout, on Wednesday, March 27. Mathews will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Rockets enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 18-0 league win over Badger (Kinsman, OH).
