William Floyd Colonials (Mastic Beach, NY) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad overcome the visiting Connetquot T-Birds (Bohemia, NY), 13-6 in a league test.

The Colonials now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Longwood for a Section 11 I test on Monday, April 8.

In their next game, the T-Birds face the Walt Whitman Wildcats (Huntington Station, NY) in a Section 11 I test, on Wednesday, March 27. Connetquot will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Wildcats come into the test with a 1-1 record after their 12-8 league win over Half Hollow Hills East (Dix Hills, NY).
