Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA) fans were thrilled Monday as they saw their soccer squad knock off the visiting Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA), 2-0 in a league test.

The Patriots now hold a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Fluvanna County for a Jefferson test on Thursday, March 28. Albemarle will meet a Flying Flucos squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA). The Flying Flucos record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Orange County drops to 0-1 on the season. The Fighting hornets travel to Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, VA) to meet the Blue Streaks in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 10. The Blue Streaks come into the test with a record of 0-1. Harrisonburg lost 5-1 in their recent non-league test against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA)
