The Hibriten Panthers baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Ashe County Huskies to 0 in the Panthers non-league victory on Monday.
The Panthers (6-2) will now prepare for their match against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers go into the non-league match with a 1-3 record. In their last match, Watauga was overwhelmed by Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC), 13-3, in a league match.
The Huskies (0-5) will now prepare for their match against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots go into the non-league match with a 2-3 record. In their last match, Freedom was overwhelmed by South Caldwell (Hudson, NC), 11-0, in a non-league match.
