Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Cuthbertson Cavaliers (Waxhaw, NC), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Mavericks now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Weddington for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 26.

With the loss, Cuthbertson falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC) to battle the Knights in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 2-1.
