The Robertson County Black Devils got by the visiting Augusta Panthers softball squad by a count of 25-24 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Black Devils (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Nicholas County (Carlisle, KY). The Bluejackets go into the District 38 battle with a 3-5 record.
The Panthers now sport a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Newport for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 26. Augusta will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 19-1 non-league loss to Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-5.
