Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Bogue Chitto Bobcats (Bogue Chitto, MS) and the host McComb Tigers (McComb, MS), witnessed Bogue Chitto's softball squad prevail over McComb by a count of 16-3.

The Bobcats now sport a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Loyd Star for a 2A Region 7 match on Tuesday, March 26. Bogue Chitto will face a Hornets squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Enterprise (Brookhaven, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 8-6.

With the loss, McComb moves to 3-8 on the season. The Tigers travel to Richland (Richland, MS) to face the Rangers in a 4A Region 6 match on Wednesday, March 27. The Rangers go into the match with a record of 7-9. Richland lost 10-0 in their recent league match against Lawrence County (Monticello, MS)
