The Chambers Cougars routed the host West Mecklenburg Hawks softball squad by a final score of 37-20 in Monday's league battle.

The Cougars (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Mavericks go into the Queen City 3A/4A battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Mallard Creek notched a victory over West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC), 31-2, in a league battle.

The Hawks now possess a 0-7 record. They play next when they travel to Garinger for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 26. West Mecklenburg will confront a Wildcats squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Independence (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-6.
