Fenwick Friars (Oak Park, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mother McAuley Mighty Macs (Chicago, IL), 10-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Friars now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Loyola Academy for a GCAC- Red challenge on Tuesday, March 26. Fenwick will battle a Ramblers squad coming off a 8-3 league win over Resurrection (Chicago, IL). The Ramblers record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Mother McAuley falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Mighty macs host St. Laurence (Burbank, IL) to battle the Vikings in a GCAC- Red challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 2-1.
