The Kearny Komets softball team scored 25 runs and limited the visiting St. Joseph Academy Crusaders to 5 in the Komets non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Kearny moves its record to 3-7 on the year. The Komets travel to El Cajon Valley (El Cajon, CA) to clash with the Braves in a non-league game on Monday, April 8. The Braves come into the game with a record of 6-4. El Cajon Valley won 10-9 in their recent non-league game against Crawford (San Diego, CA)

In their next game, the Crusaders clash with the Bishop's Knights (La Jolla, CA) in a Pacific game, on Wednesday, April 10. St. Joseph Academy will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record.
