Spectators at Monday's league match between the Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV) and the visiting Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV), witnessed Lewis County's softball squad prevail over Lincoln by a count of 13-5.

The Minutemen now sport a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Grafton for a Big Ten match on Thursday, March 28. Lewis County will face a Bearcats squad coming off a 10-5 league loss to Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV). The Bearcats record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Lincoln moves to 0-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to West Springfield (Springfield, VA) to face the Spartans in a Patriot match on Tuesday, March 26. The Spartans go into the match with a record of 3-3. West Springfield lost 8-4 in their recent league match against Grove City (Grove City, OH)
